As Angel entered the apartment that he and Buffy now shared, he thought about the past weeks. He and Buffy were back together, her friends (well, except Xander) had learned to deal, and now they were sharing a life together. Angel sighed a happy sigh at the thought of their life to come.
"Angel?" He heard Buffy call from the couch. "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing. I was just thinking about how everything is actually going our way…. I just jinxed us, didn’t I?"
"Nah. You’re right to be happy. It’s wonderful."
"I love you," Angel said as he bent down to kiss her.
"Mmm, me too."
As Angel kissed Buffy, something strange but sweet invaded his mouth. This taste was heavenly. Angel sucked on Buffy’s tongue them moved to licking her bottom lip, and then the top one. As he pulled away, acknowledging her need for breath, he licked his lips wanting to get all of the taste.
"Wow," Buffy gasped. It was like no other kiss that she had experienced with him before.
"What was that?"
"What?" Buffy asked in confusion.
"That taste. What have you been eating?"
"Oh," giggled Buffy as she pulled out a bag from behind her. And saw the brown bag, took it from her, and inspected it. "What are these?"
"M & M’s," Buffy giggled, "They are chocolate."
"Chocolate?" It was more of a statement than a question.
"You’ve never had it?"
"No."
"Oh, well take one." Angel looked at the bag hesitantly. "Oh come on, don’t be a baby." With that, Buffy poured one of the chocolate treats into her hand. She placed the candy on her tongue and leaned up towards Angel. She pushed her tongue past his partially opened lips and into his mouth. Angel let Buffy push the candy up against the tip of his tongue before sucking on it and her tongue. Buffy moaned and arched into Angel as the candy melted in their mouths.
Angel picked Buffy up and carried her to the bedroom, but not before taking the M&M’s in his hand. Buffy heard Angel mumble, "we are definitely getting a case of these," before he closed the bedroom door.
