Groveling on Valentine’s Day

FEEDBACK: I love it! Please?

CONTENT: Angel/Buffy smut.

SUMMARY: Angel has to do some serious ass kissing.

DISCLAIMER: I do not have any rights to the song "I’m Sorry" It is originally sung my Brenda Lee (and butchered by a character). I do not own any of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" characters or situations (I will even give my story ideas to Joss in exchange for a day on the set). I am borrowing them, without permission, and I mean no harm to them. They all belong to Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, Fox, and Warner Brothers. I wrote this purely for entertainment and not at all for profit.

NOTE: Thanks again to Mel, she totally helped me with the idea, plus she proofs this stuff for me!

"Hi Honey." Joyce smiled as she walked into her daughter's room.

"Hi Mom." Buffy replied as she lay on her bed absently petting Snaggletooth, who was cuddled up on her stomach, and watching a sappy romantic movie on TV.

Joyce sat on the end of her bed and watched the screen for a few minutes. "Buffy, are you seriously mad at Angel? Trust me, guys call their girlfriends their ex-girlfriend's names all the time, you really shouldn't get so upset."

Buffy shrugged. "I was really mad at first, but I am over it."

Joyce gestured to the unopened box of chocolates on Buffy's desk. "Then why don't you let him know?"

Buffy shrugged again. "I feel like making him sweat it out."

Joyce gasped. "You're terrible!"

"Thanks!" Buffy grinned proudly.

Joyce rolled her eyes. "Want to go get something to eat? I'm craving Mexican."

"I don't know…."

"I'll let you drive."

Buffy hopped up. "Let's go! I need all the practice I can get for Tuesday."

Joyce followed her daughter out of the room. "I can't believe my baby girl is taking her driver's license test!"

"Mom, I am eighteen! It's about time!"

"I know." Joyce sighed. "It's just hard to let you go like that."

"Well, this is good then! We need to start adjusting to the whole 'me leaving the nest' thing for when I get married and move out in four months."

"Four months?! Oh wow, I hadn't even realized it would be so soon!"

"Yeah, isn't that cool?"

Joyce replied by pulling Buffy into a tight hug.

"Oh Mom!" Buffy protested.

"Don't 'Oh Mom' me! Let me hug my baby!"

Buffy pulled away only to have Joyce squeeze her cheeks. "Fish face!"

"Mom!"

"Okay, sorry, done."

Buffy sighed. "Good. Want to take my car?"

"No, it's still not registered."

Buffy pouted.

"I'll do it Tuesday while you take your test." Joyce promised.

"So, we're taking the jeep?"

"Nah, let's take Rupert's Camry."

"Cool!" Buffy cheered, then rushed into the kitchen, where Giles was reading the Sunday paper. "Hey Giles!"

"Oh, hello Buffy, feeling better?"

"Worlds. Can I borrow the keys to your car?"

"For what reason? Did you leave something in there that you need to fetch?" Giles asked hopefully.

"No, Mom and I are going for some grub and she wants to take the Camry."

Giles saw Joyce standing in the doorway. She nodded and gave him a look that told him he wouldn't want to face the consequences of trying to protect his beloved car. He smiled weakly and handed the keys to Buffy, who practically squealed with delight.

"I'll be there in a second Honey." Joyce told her daughter as she raced out of the kitchen. She walked over to her husband and hugged him. "Don't worry, Buffy has been doing fine, and I'll be in the car with her."

"Y-y-es, I suppose you're right."

"I am." She replied. "Now don't forget to call Cordelia. Tell her I can keep us out for half an hour. After that, it's iffy."

Giles nodded and headed for the telephone as soon as they had said their goodbye. On with the conspiratorial plans!

"Very nice Buffy!" Joyce praised her daughter as they pulled into the driveway. "I wasn't scared for my life at all! The whole time!"

"Go me!" Buffy cheered, then noticed the red Dodge Stratus parked in front of the house. "Wonder what Cordy is doing here?"

Joyce gave her an innocent look and shrugged. "Haven't the slightest idea."

The two women entered the home and found Giles, Cordelia and Xander sitting in the living room.

"Hey guys." Buffy called.

Cordelia and Xander jumped up.

"Hi Buffy, I thought I might drop by and see how you're doing." Cordy told her. "And to let you know that even though you may think your Valentine's Day sucks, mine is a lot worse."

"Oh come on! Buffy, tell me going to the new Scandia doesn't sound fun!" Xander argued.

"Xander, going to the new Scandia doesn't sound fun." Buffy told him.

"Like I have always dreamed of spending a day for romance playing miniature golf, arcade games, and bumper boats." Cordelia rolled her eyes.

Joyce joined Giles on the couch and started cuddling, so Buffy felt it was time to get away before she threw up her entire order of nachos. The three teens went up to Buffy's room. Cordy smiled secretly at Xander, who just rolled his eyes. He really didn't want to be any part of the whole thing.

When she opened her bedroom door, Buffy couldn't believe her eyes. Her room was filled with vases of red roses, the ceiling was half covered with balloons that said "Be Mine" and "I'm Sorry" and similar phrases.

"What is going on?" She asked her friends.

"Trust me, I was coerced into helping. The thought of you being mad at porcupine-head brings warmth to my heart." Xander told her.

Cordy smacked him on the head. "Angel thought of all this Buffy. We really didn't help much. He was up all night trying to get his hands on massive amounts of roses, we just set it up for him."

"Why didn't he set it up himself?" Buffy asked.

Cordelia smiled. "He was busy."

Buffy raised an eyebrow. "Busy?"

Cordy just nodded and walked over to the window. "Oh goodie! Buff come here!"

Buffy walked slowly to the window. "Please don't tell me he burnt a giant heart into the lawn!"

She looked out the window and was surprised to see Angel standing on her front lawn with a microphone in his hand and two huge speakers on either side of him. Buffy sighed and pushed the window open.

"What are you doing, Angel?"

Cordelia cleared her throat.

Xander told her, completely unenthusiastically, "He is going to serenade you."

Buffy raised her eyebrows as Xander whined about not wanting to help. She looked back down and saw Oz walk up to Angel with his guitar ready to go. He started playing a slow and steady beat, and Angel looked up at her.

"I'm sorry, so sorry, that I was such a fool." He began to sing. "I didn't know love could be so cruel. Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes."

Downstairs, Giles and Joyce looked out the living room window.

While Joyce enjoyed the romanticism of it all, Giles didn't enjoy it at all. "I have never heard anyone sing so off-key in my life."

"Oh shush Rupert, this is sweet!"

Angel continued on, "You tell me mistakes are part of being you-ung! But that don't right the wrong that's been done!"

Cordelia and Xander both wrinkled their noses. Angel sucked at singing.

Luckily, the next part was spoken. "I'm sorry, so sorry, please accept my apolo-gy. But love is blind, and I was too blind to see. Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes."

Two houses down, the Miller's golden retriever, Max, started to howl along with him.

Buffy was loving every minute of it.

"You tell me mistakes are part of being young, but that don't right the wrong that's been done. Oh oh oh oh uh-oh oh yes." Angel valiantly carried on, not letting anything interrupt him. "I'm sorry, so sorry, please accept my apology but love was blind, and I was too blind to see."

Buffy was laughing hysterically at this point. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined Angel would do this.

He got down on his knees as he belted out the last word. "Sor-ry!"

He looked up to see Buffy's reaction and just saw Cordy and Xander peering down at him, pity written all over their faces.

Angel felt lost. Buffy was still mad at him? She wouldn't even face him?

The front door flung open.

Buffy ran out.

She jumped into his arms and wrapped her legs around his waist.

"You are so sweet!" She exclaimed before kissing him fully on the lips.

After a few moments, Oz and Willow- who had been helping them set equipment up- walked gingerly over to them.

"Uh, guys." Willow said. "Maybe the front yard isn't the best place to kiss and make up."

The two lovers broke their kiss and smiled shyly at her, before Buffy slid back down to her feet.

As they walked into the house, Angel turned to them and said "Thanks you guys, I couldn't have done anything without you."

Buffy turned as well. "Yes, thank you, the three of you. That was so romantic!"

Buffy was surprised to find Cordy handing her a bag when they got back inside.

"Angel convinced me to let you spend the night at his place, but you will be home early tomorrow night so that you can get a good rest before your test." Joyce told her.

Buffy hadn't felt so gleeful in months!

"Wow, and I thought my bedroom was impressive." Buffy said as Angel led her into his apartment.

He had made her wait outside for a minute and now she knew why. There were candles everywhere. Angel had also taken rose petals and thrown them everywhere, especially on the bed.

"Do you like it?" Angel asked.

Buffy smiled and kissed him softly. "It's so beautiful."

They continued and moved towards the bed together. "I always wanted to make love to you on a bed of rose petals."

He gently pushed her down onto the bed and covered her with his own body. Together, they pushed off his jacket and unbuttoned his shirt. Both items were soon on the floor.

Angel pulled Buffy's baby tee off and found she wore a pale pink lacy bra. He sat back for a second and smiled.

"I like this."

Buffy grinned. "I'll keep that in mind."

He pulled down her pants to find she wore a matching thing. "Remind me to go shopping with you to buy this set in a ton of colors."

Buffy giggled. "That sounds fun."

Soon all of their clothing was discarded. They lay on the bed kissing and caressing each other.

"Angel!" She gasped. "I need you!"

"Okay baby." He replied, settling himself between her legs. He slid into her slowly, savoring the way her tight muscles clamped down on his straining erection. He began moving in and out of her slowly, delaying her orgasm until she was begging him for release. He moved his hand between them and gently rubbed her clit, sending her spiraling over the edge of ecstasy. He soon began moved faster and faster, pulling almost all the way out and slamming back inside of her. Buffy rolled him over and began gyrating her hips as he helped her slide up and down on his manhood. As she reached another orgasm, Buffy threw her head back and screamed. Her spasming muscles triggered his orgasm. He shouted out as well as he exploded inside her.

Buffy lay in his chest, panting. "Angel?"

"Hmm?" He asked, trying to catch his breath as well.

"That was wonderful."

"Best ever."

Buffy smiled and kissed him lightly on the lips. "Happy Valentine's Day."

"You too Baby. It was my best one ever."

"Even though you were forced to sing in front of my entire neighborhood?" She giggled.

Angel nodded. "I got to be with you. That makes any day outstanding."

Buffy smiled. "It was my best too. Nobody has ever done anything like that for me before."

"That was just that beginning." He told her.

"I love you." She said, settling her head back against his strong chest.

"I love you too, more than anything." He told her, then started drifting off to sleep, imagining other things he could do that she would like, and-more importantly- what it would be like when they bought that lingerie…..
