"How do you guys think you did on the SAT's?" Cordelia asked, turning
around in her seat in study hall to look at her boyfriend and Willow.
"I'm not sure," Answered Willow, with an anxious tone, "but I am
worried."
"Relax, Will, I am as positive that you did great as I am that I did really
badly." Xander assured her, with a grin, as though he was proud oh his lack
of brain cells.
"You guys are not going to believe this!" exclaimed Jason Clark, one
of the jocks that hung out in Larry's crowd, as he walked into the classroom,
holding a video cassette.
All the other students that were waiting for the teacher to arrive quieted down
to see what Jason was so excited about.
"Where's Buffy?" Willow asked.
"Oh, I saw her after 5th period, she said Giles had to talk to her, and
since he has to be here today to make up for last Friday, I guess they'll both
be late." Cordelia told her, before turning back around to see what was on
the video Jason had popped into the VCR in front of the room.
As he flipped off the light, Jason told them, "Introducing a whole new side
to our librarian!"
The tape started playing.
"Oh Ripper!"
Xander, Willow, and Cordelia all gasped. They couldn't believe they heard Mrs.
Summers moaning as she was hammered by Giles on the hood of a police car.
Cordelia shook her head in shock. Buffy was definitely going to have to switch
schools now. You can never live down your mother having sex in public with the
school librarian.
For whatever reason Jason had been videotaping that night, he had been across
the street from the… couple, so the video wasn't that great. Willow hoped none
of the others realized that the woman was Buffy's mom.
The whole classroom was completely engrossed with the video. Occasionally, a few
of the boys would whoop and cheer, but for the most part, they just stared,
open-mouthed.
They were paying so much attention to the video that they didn't notice the door
opening and Buffy walking in, followed by Giles. For a moment they just stood
there, absorbing what was going on.
Buffy was numb. Her mom… Giles… having sex… the whole class… She didn't
know what to say. She didn't know how to say anything. All of a sudden she
couldn't move. She was just standing there in the classroom, frozen in place.
Giles stopped the video and flipped the lights on. "Whose video is
this?"
The room was silent, until Cordelia stood proudly. "I believe it would be
Jason's."
All the other students were in shock. She had turned on one of their own.
Giles pointed a finger at Jason, Jason sighed and they walked out into the hall.
Willow gently pulled Buffy to her seat. She was still numb. Buffy could vaguely
hear her friends voices, as if they were far away. Her head was swimming. She
needed to focus.
"What?" she said, looking around at them.
The other three all exchanged looks.
"Buffy, are you all right?" Willow asked, looking concerned.
"Uh… I think so. I'm just.. surprised.." Buffy replied, slowly
looking around. Most everyone was talking quietly and giggling. She also noticed
that Giles was gone. "Where's Giles?"
"Having a little 'chat' with Jason out in the hall." Xander told her.
"Are you going to faint or something Buffy?" Cordelia asked.
"We've been talking to you for about ten minutes and you have been totally
unresponsive. Are you sure you aren't catatonic or something?"
"Yeah, I just never, in a million years, expected to walk in a classroom
and see… that."
"I know!" Xander said. "Look on the bright side, now you can
guilt Giles and your mom. No training, patrolling, you get what you want for
dinner, hey, I bet you can convince them that if you went to school it would end
up deeply traumatizing you!"
Willow gave him a dirty look, while Cordelia raised an eyebrow. "You may
actually have a point there."
Xander feigned shock. "I do?"
Cordelia shrugged. "Maybe we can convince Giles to let us out of here early
so we can console Buffy at the mall? I need some new shoes."
"Ooh yeah! Pizza too?" Xander exclaimed.
"I wonder if Giles is ever going to come back in here. Maybe he's too
embarrassed to look at us today. Maybe he's too embarrassed to look at us ever
again! Buffy, what if Giles leaves and never comes back?!" Willow cried
out.
"Calm down Will!" Xander said.
"Buffy, don't you think the woman in that video sounded familiar?"
Sharon Gabriel's, one of Harmony's little friends, asked, playing casual, as she
walked over.
"No." Buffy replied, trying not to let Sharon bait her.
"You sure? She sounded like an almost older version of you!" Sharon
persisted, a huge grin on her face.
"Whoa!" Byron Edwards cut in, "You're saying Buffy was the
chick?! I gotta see that tape again!"
Buffy gave him an incredulous look.
"It wasn't her!" Xander argued, getting very angry, very fast.
Sharon looked over at Byron and smiled. "I have to agree with him there,
Byron. I was thinking, that sounds a lot like MRS. Summers, Buffy's
mom!"
They now had the attention of the entire classroom. Buffy had never been so
humiliated in all her life. She had to keep repeating in her mind and order NOT
to cry. She couldn't give them the satisfaction.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Buffy managed to mutter.
Sharon shrugged. "All I know is my dad redecorated his office and he bought
some paintings from your mom's gallery. I went with him when he picked them out
and your mom was VERY friendly about helping us. Hey, you don't think your
mother was hitting on my father do you?! He is a married man!"
"Sharon don't you have any other lies to tell? This one is so far-fetched,
it's really insulting to our intelligence." Cordelia glowered at her, with
her hands on her hips. "Seriously, I haven't heard anything so stupid since
when we were in eighth grade and you tried to tell us you had six high school
senior boyfriends!"
As most of the classroom broke out in laughter, Sharon gasped and turned a deep
shade of red. Just then the door to the room opened and a sheepish looking Jason
walked in, followed by Giles
"Everyone, please go back to your seats and.. just.. make sure to-to-to
read or d-do whatever it is that.. that you.. um.. need t-to do." Giles
stuttered, before sitting down behind the big desk at the front of the room and
shoving his nose in a book.
The period dragged on and as soon as the bell rang Giles bolted out of there.
That was fine with Buffy, she had no idea what she was going to say to him. The
four of them made their way down the halls and were soon joined by Oz.
Oz noticed that everyone was being kind of quiet, so he asked "What's
wrong?"
"Nothing, except we all just saw a porno with Buffy's mom and Giles getting
it on!" Cordelia explained.
"Man, that's harsh." Oz said.
"That was really sensitive sweetie." Xander said, rolling his eyes at
his tactfully challenged girlfriend.
"No, it's okay." Buffy said, trying to smile, yet failing miserably.
"It's the truth, I just have to accept it."
"Well, that's good." Willow tried to reassure her. "You shouldn't
bottle it up, you should just.. uh.. deal, with it and move on. It's the healthy
thing to do!"
"That's what Oprah would say." Buffy agreed.
"Hey, wanna go get a cappuccino or something?" Willow offered.
"No, that's okay. I think I just want to be alone to think. Rain
check?"
"Absolutely." Willow nodded. "Buffy?"
"Hmm?"
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah.. I mean, it's not the end of the world, right?"
Buffy opened the door to Angel's apartment and sighed. Even though this was
the site of one of the worst things that had ever happened to her- meeting
Angelus for the first time- she still found the place comforting. Angel had said
he was planning on moving out, as soon as he found time. She glanced at her
watch. It was just barely three in the afternoon. Angel wouldn't be off of work
for two hours. Hopefully he wouldn't decide to work late tonight, Buffy really
needed to talk to him.
She slipped of her shoes and climbed into bed. She felt all the stress of the
SATs and her slaying and especially study hall this afternoon, weighing down on
her all of a sudden. She was exhausted.
Joyce was talking with Angel about his next art buying trip, when Giles burst
into her office. They both looked up at the disheveled librarian in surprise.
"Rupert?" Joyce asked him, all of a sudden fearful of her daughter's
safety.
"Is Buffy okay?" Angel asked, standing up.
"What? Oh, yes, she's fine." Giles told them, taking Angel's seat and
placing his face in his hands. "No, wait, she's not fine! She is deeply
deeply traumatized, and it's is all my fault!"
"What happened?" Joyce asked.
Giles looked up at her, then over at Angel. "Oh I might as well tell you
too, you'll find out soon enough. Angel, last Friday night, when we were…
under the influence.. of those candy bars.. we um.. well.. we.."
"Are you talking about the part.. on the.. police car?" Joyce asked
him.
Giles only nodded, placing his face in his hands again.
"What?" Angel asked.
"We, um, 'did it' on the hood of a police car." Joyce informed him,
blushing deeply.
"Oh." Angel replied, averting his eyes from them.
"Rupert, what does this have to do with Buffy?" Joyce asked.
Giles looked up at her again. "This little twerp videotaped it and when
Buffy and I walked into study hall today it was playing for the whole class to
see!"
"Oh God! What did she see?" Joyce gasped.
"Not a lot, but enough. You should have seen the look on her face!"
Giles said. "She was just… horrified! I mean, children aren't meant to
see their mother's in a position like that! And in front of her classmates! I
don't know if she'll ever forgive me!"
"Buffy saw?" Joyce asked, then copied Giles' earlier action by
covering her face with her hands.
Giles sighed.
"Well, look on the bright side. At least she didn't beat you up."
Angel told him, trying not to smile.
"What are we going to do?" Joyce asked.
Giles perked up. "Perhaps we could pretend it never happened.. and she
would think it was all a bad dream!"
Angel and Joyce both looked at him as if he were crazy.
"Okay, that was the best case scenario." Giles said meekly.
"What we need to do is talk to her." Joyce told them.
"Talk to her?" Angel asked. "What are you going to say to
her?"
"Well, I don't know, but all the parenting books say that whatever the
problem, you have to talk about it. You have to have an open relationship so
that your child is free to say whatever they need to. Then it can be a healthy
relationship."
"So, you'll have a chat with Buffy about what happened and that'll be the
end of it?" Giles asked, looking optimistic. "Sounds good to me!"
"Oh, no, if I am having a talk with her, you are too!"
Giles looked at Angel, pleadingly. "I don't, right? Tell her I don't!"
"Hey, if I have to talk to my teenage daughter about my sex life, you have
to help!"
Giles sighed. "I know."
"Do you know if she went home after school?" Joyce asked Giles.
Giles shook his head. "I don't know, I don't think so, I heard Cordelia
saying something about the mall."
"Okay…" Joyce sighed. "We'll talk to her together. What are we
going to say?"
Angel looked at his watch. It was just half past three. "Well, I have a few
things I need to do before I go home."
Joyce and Giles gave him lost puppy looks.
"I am sure everything will be fine." Angel told them, then looked at
Joyce. "I'll make those 'arrangements' we talked about, okay?"
Joyce only nodded, then Angel turned and walked out of her office. Things were
never boring in Sunnydale.
Angel yawned as he walked in the door of his apartment. He had come home
directly from work, instead of picking up dinner, which was his original plan.
Chances are, after Buffy had her talk with Joyce and Giles, she'd want to leave
the house for a while, so he'd go pick her up and they could have dinner
together. So when he found Buffy's sleeping form on his bed, he was more than a
little surprised.
He didn't want to wake her, but she couldn't sleep too much longer without her
mother getting worried.
"Buffy." Angel whispered as he sat on the side of the bed and gently
shook her shoulder.
She slowly came awake. "Hmm?"
"Goldilocks, what are you doing sleeping in my bed?" He teased.
Buffy smiled. "Grumpy bear!"
He leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. She wrapped her arms around
his neck and opened her mouth, inviting his tongue inside. He accepted her
invitation and their tongues wrestled tirelessly. Every time they tasted each
other, it was as though it was the first time.
Angel found himself lying next to her, stroking her face lightly with his
fingertips. She lay there with her eyes closed, making him wonder if she was
asleep again.
"Buffy, not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing
here?"
She opened her eyes. "I needed to see you."
Angel stopped stroking her face and instead entwined his fingers in hers.
"Would this have something to do with that video?"
Buffy sighed. "You know?"
"Yeah, Giles came over to the gallery, he was pretty much in a blind
panic."
Buffy sat up and smiled, and started laughing. Angel looked at her strangely.
After a few seconds, Buffy's laughter turned to sobs. Angel sat up and wrapped
his arms around her from behind.
For several moments the just sat there, her sobs quieting until they were mere
sniffles, with him rocking her gently, his arms providing an envelope of safety.
"They all know." She finally told him.
"Your friends?"
"No. Well, yeah, they know, but I mean my whole class, they all know. By
tomorrow, it'll be all over school."
"They'll forget."
"I know, but only AFTER I have been humiliated."
"It doesn't matter what they think."
"I can tell myself that over and over, but when it comes down to it, yes it
does!" Buffy argued, turning around and facing him. "I have been
dealing with them making me into a joke for a year and a half because of my
slaying- I seem so weird to them, you know? But all those times.. they laughed
at ME, not my mom. They're going to make fun of her now! I can't deal with that!
I'll either end up kicking someone's ass or I'll just start crying again! I
don't want to do either of those things, Angel!"
Angel pulled her to him and kissed her forehead. "I know baby. I don't know
what to say. I'd tell you to just ignore them but that is probably pretty much
impossible."
"Yeah." Buffy murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Well how do they know for sure that it's your mom?"
"Oh this big mouth named Sharon blabbed it to everyone in study hall, and
unfortunately I didn't do to great of a job denying it. I was pretty shocked,
couldn't say much of anything. I think Cordy may have denied it."
"You could try denying it, if you want." Angel suggested. "I
think your main plan should just be to hang out with your friends, because they
don't care. As long as you have them, I bet you'll be fine."
Buffy smiled. "What would I do without you? You are the best boyfriend
ever! Most guys wouldn't listen to me whine."
"I love to hear you whine."
Buffy giggled, then touched his mouth with her lips, softly kissing him at
first, then separating her lips, allowing his touch to invade her mouth, as hers
invaded his. As their tongues explored each other's mouths, their hands explored
each other's bodies. Buffy ran her hands under his jacket and roamed from his
chest to shoulders and down his back, then back up again. Angel's hand stroked
circles on Buffy's back.
Angel broke their kiss and started placing soft kisses down her neck. When he
reached her collarbone, he started adding his tongue. He kissed a small trail,
following it with licks.
"Angel." She panted. "Make love to me."
He stop his ministrations. "Are you sure?"
She laughed, a little breathlessly. "Of course!"
Buffy allowed Angel to lower her onto her back and he once again kissed her
passionately. Without removing his lips from hers, he pulled off his jacket. She
helped him unbutton his shirt then it followed his jacket to the floor beside
the bed. Buffy grazed her nails over his chest as he worked on pulling her top
off. She smiled and sat up, pulling her top over her head, and letting it join
Angel's discarded clothing. She reached behind her back and started to undo the
clasp of her bra, but Angel's touched her arm.
"Let me." He asked. "Please?"
Buffy pretended to contemplate it, then smiled. "Twist my arm!"
He grinned as he reached behind her and unclasped the lavender lacy article,
then slowly slipped the straps down her shoulders. Buffy let her arms lay limply
at her sides, so the bra slid down off her arms. Angel smiled and cupped a
breast in each hand. He gently pushed her back down to the bed. Angel resumed
his kisses on her collarbone and his fingers kneaded her breasts, her rosebud
nipples already erect. Buffy moaned and ran her fingers through his short dark
hair. Angel soon had made his way to her breasts. He removed his hand from one
of her breasts and replaced it with his mouth, suckling her nipple, causing her
to arch off the bed. Then he bit softly on the nipple, immediately running his
tongue over it after that. Buffy was panting and shaking softly. Angle moved his
mouth over to her other nipple and gave it the same treatment. So he was half
kissing-half licking a way down her stomach, dipping his tongue into her belly
button.
"Angel!" she moaned.
"Soon baby, soon." He hushed her.
He slid his fingers in the waistband over her pants and started to pull. Buffy
lifted her hips for him, and as he slid them down, along with her panties, she
remembered her shoes and kicked them off. Soon she was completely naked.
"No fair" she said. "You have more clothes on."
"Can't have that!" He teased, pulling off his shoes, then unbuttoning
his pants and pulling them and his boxers off.
Despite Buffy's protests, he didn't move back up he body, instead he settled at
the foot of the bed. He picked up one of her feet and softly kissed the sole.
Then he began placing soft kisses until he reached her inner ankle, which he
licked. He continued his way, softly kissing the underside of her calf. When he
reached the underside of her knee, he gave her a slight nibble, eliciting a
giggle from Buffy. He soon continued on in his journey, kissing the inside of
her thigh. Soon he had reached his destination. His face was just inches from
her fiery core. Angel slid her lips apart and ran his tongue up and down the
sensitive skin beneath. He braced his hands under her buttocks to hold her still
as he plunged his tongue inside her. Then he pushed his tongue against her
hardened clit, sending Buffy into small spasms. Knowing she was close, he began
to quickly lick her clit. Soon she climaxed, and he quickly licked up all her
juices.
"Angel." Buffy moaned again.
Angel laid on his side next to her. "I'm right here baby."
"Angel, I need you."
"I can never deny anything to my baby." Angel grinned as he moved his
lower body between her legs. He put most of his weight on his arms. Even though
he knew she was the mighty slayer, she still looked so petite that he was scared
of squashing her. She eliminated those fears when she pulled him down on top of
her and kissed him. He adjusted her leg and slid inside of her. Buffy groaned as
he stretched her walls. He thrust slightly for a moment, then started building
more and more, sliding out further and back in harder. All that could be heard
in the room was their moans and cries of pleasure.
Angel knew he was close, and my the way Buffy was writhing, she was too. He
moved his hand down to where they joined and pressed a finger to her clit. Buffy
gasped, arching off the bed as she slipped into orgasm. Angel joined her seconds
later, exploding inside her. Buffy's muscles clamped down on him, milking him.
They both came down, in each others arms, panting and kissing and caressing as
though they never had before.
"I wish I could stay in your arms forever."
"You just don't want to go talk to your mom and Giles."
Buffy giggled. "Well, yeah, that too."
"Do you want me to go with you?"
"You would really do that for me?"
"Absolutely. I'll do anything for you, I'll follow you anywhere."
"Oh I love you!"
"I love you too baby, more than anything."
They kissed passionately for a moment, then reluctantly broke it off.
"I guess I should go meet my horrible fate, huh?" Buffy asked,
sighing.
Angel nodded. "How about I drive you home, you have the talk, then you and
I can go out to dinner?"
"Sounds nice." Buffy smiled, giving him a light kiss on the lips,
before getting out of bed and dressing.
"Buffy!" Joyce exclaimed, grinning as her daughter walked in the
front door followed by Angel.
Giles was practically hiding behind Joyce. She nudged him, and he forced himself
to look Buffy in the eye.
"H-hello Buffy."
"Hey." Buffy said casually to the both of them. "Angel and I are
going out to dinner, just thought I would drop off my backpack and check
in."
Joyce nodded enthusiastically. "That's great! But, um, Rup- Mr. Giles and I
just have something to tell you first.."
Buffy held up a hand. "That whole video thing?"
Joyce and Giles nodded grimly.
"Well, it was really gross, and unfortunately the image is burned into my
mind, but oh well. I'll live it down, eventually." Buffy told them
matter-of-factly. "I know you guys were under the influence of that band
candy stuff so it really wasn't your fault."
"N-n-no it wasn't. We were.. pretty much.. out of control." Giles
stuttered.
"Exactly." Buffy replied, then waggled a finger at them like a parent
to a child. "You kids just don't do it again!"
She and Angel laughed while Joyce and Giles exchanged strange looks.
"Well, we're going to go eat, I won't stay out too late, since it's a
school night and all. Bye!"
"Uh…b-b-bye Buffy." Giles managed to utter.
"Bye sweetie, be careful!" Joyce called.
Buffy and Angel gave them a wave and quickly left the house.
Giles and Joyce looked at each other.
"She took it pretty well." Giles said.
"Yeah, why did she take it so well?"
"Who knows, but the point is, it's over."
"I hear ya. Do you have any dinner plans?" Joyce asked casually.
Giles looked at her and smiled. "Care to go out?"
"Sounds fun to me."
"Where do you suppose they went?"
"I don't know, but Buffy hates seafood, so Red Lobster would be safe."
"Red Lobster it is."
"Hey Buffy!" Willow called cheerfully as her friend entered the
school.
"Hey guys!" Buffy replied, equally cheerfully as she approached
Willow, Oz, and Xander.
"You sound pretty happy, considering…" Xander told her.
"Considering I am probably the laughing stock of the school?"
"I wouldn't say, 'laughing stock' but maybe….um…." Willow said, in
an attempt to comfort her friend.
"It's okay Will. I can deal." Buffy said confidently. "I am ready
to deal!"
"Oh Buffy, you got saved big time!" Cordelia exclaimed as she walked
down the hall towards them.
"I did?"
"Guess what Sharon Gabriel's did today!"
"What?!"
"Well, everyone is talking about it! She….."
The End
