Spring Break

FEEDBACK: I gotta have it! Without it, I am sure I will lose all will to write!

SUMMARY: Set in my AIL universe (email me for a URL to the rest of the series if you need it). Buffy, Angel, Cordelia, Oz, Willow and Xander go to Anaheim for Spring Break. Will Angel be able to refrain from killing Xander?

DISCLAIMER: I don’t own any of them. I don’t even own the idea for this fic. It was transmitted to me from the mother ship.

NOTE: Thanks to Mel for her support and for reading it and telling me the parts when I just rambled too much!

Angel yawned as he laid his cheek against the top of his girlfriend’s head as she slept against his chest in the back of the quiet van. Willow and Oz sat in the front, speaking in low tones. Even Cordelia and Xander, in the middle seat, had stopped bickering, and fallen asleep since it was still so early.

The sun was still rising, bathing the passing landscape in a warm orange glow. Angel enjoyed the peace and beauty for a while, before he too joined Buffy in slumber.

"Hey Deadboy! Wake up!"

Angel’s head shot up. Xander was leaning over the back of the middle seat, smacking the former vampire upside the head. Angel’s hand swiftly gripped Xander’s wrist.

"Knock. It. Off." He ordered the moronic teen through gritted teeth.

Xander wrenched his arm away. "*Someone* sure is grumpy when they first wake up!"

Cordelia looked at her boyfriend and rolled her eyes. "Don’t be a prick."

Buffy groggily lifted her head and yawned. "What’s going on?"

"We’re stopping for breakfast in a minute." Cordelia informed her. "Willow and Oz picked McDonalds, I hope I don’t break out! Speaking of, Buffy we have talked about the foundation thing! You’re a mess!" She leaned over the seat and spoke in a low voice, as if Angel and Xander couldn’t hear her. "How do expect to keep Angel if you don’t look your best?"

The three of them stared at her in amazement, but before they could say anything, Oz swerved quickly and Cordelia went flying right into Xander.

Oz turned and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, but I had to grab this spot quick."

"Aah! Aah! Aah!"

Angel stared in disgust as Xander made his two hash browns battle with each other. The boy was beyond annoying, and the fact that everyone else seemed to have such an easy time ignoring him just irked Angel more. Willow and Oz cuddled as though they were the only two people in the world, Cordelia was ripping her breakfast sandwich apart and shrieking at the grease, and Buffy was eating her own breakfast and staring out the window as though in a trance.

"No offense, but did your mother drop you on your head as a child?" Angel finally asked Xander, honestly wondering what was wrong with him.

This managed to get both Buffy and Cordelia’s attention, and the two girls started laughing hysterically.

Xander, who was offended anyway, glared at him and replied. "Hey! At least *I*….. uh…. Don’t drink blood!"

"I don’t either!"

"As riveting as this argument is, do you two think it would be okay if we talked about our plans for the rest of the trip?" Oz asked.

Next to him, Willow nodded her head. "We think it would be best if we just relaxed today when we get to the hotel. We can swim or shop or whatever. Tomorrow we’ll go to Disneyland all day, Friday we’ll go to Knott's Berry Farm, and Saturday we’ll drive home. Sound good?"

Everyone nodded their approval, save for Xander who whined about wanting to go to Disneyland that afternoon as well as the next day. After they took a vote, which was five to one, he stopped whining and finished his breakfast along with everyone else.

When they got back in the van, Xander actually did something smart, for once, and put his walkman on. If they had to endure his constant yammering for the rest of the trip, there was no telling what Angel, Buffy, or Cordelia might have done to him.

They all just hoped he would keep it on for an hour and a half.

Cordelia’s father knew some people that comped them a suite at the hotel, so she was the one in charge of getting them checked in. The rest of the gang sat in the luxurious couches in the lobby.

"So, Angel and I are sharing a room, of course, but are you guys coupling up or doing the girls room and boys room thing?" Buffy asked.

"Coupling up." Xander replied.

"Don’t be so sure Cordy wants to couple up with you, Xander." Willow told him. "Also, Oz and I didn’t really discuss the ‘room sharing’ thing."

Cordelia walked back over to them, a frown on her face.

"Hey Cord, I was just trying to explain to the everyone how you and I wanted our own little lovenest." Xander smiled up at his girlfriend.

Cordelia wrinkled her nose. "Eww!" She sighed. "Doesn’t matter, anyway, they screwed up and gave us a two bedroom suite."

"What?!" Buffy exclaimed.

"And they don’t have any three bedroom suites left so we’re stuck! I’m calling my father!" Cordelia replied, whipping out her cell phone.

Buffy pulled the phone away. "Wait a second, what are you going to tell him?"

Exasperated, Cordelia sighed and grabbed the phone back. "That they screwed up our reservations! Duh, Buffy!"

"And you don’t think your father will wonder why we need 3 rooms?" Buffy reasoned.

"Oh." Cordelia realized what Buffy was getting at and frowned. "This totally bites!"

After the group had settled in their suite- with the guys and girls separated- they all went off and did their own thing. Cordelia went to the hotel salon for a manicure; Xander and Oz went to the arcade; and Angel, Buffy, and Willow stayed up in the room. The two girls occupied themselves with the wonderful world of HBO while Angel lost himself in a book.

Xander and Oz came back up after they had spent all their quarters and the four teens decided to go swimming in the hotel’s heated pool. Angel wasn’t going to join them until he remembered the lack of fabric in most of Buffy’s swimsuits. He knew that Buffy would never go for Xander, but he still didn’t want the troll ogling his girlfriend so he agreed to join them.

The girls wore baggy T-shirts on the way down to the pool, which they were pleased to find empty. Willow pulled hers off to reveal a most conservative navy blue one piece suit; while Buffy was wearing a light blue bikini that Angel couldn’t help but admire, frowning when he saw he wasn’t the only one admiring it. Buffy, however, was oblivious to the attention, and jumped in the pool, followed by Xander, Oz, and Willow. Angel was more reluctant; he’d never been in a pool before. The closest he’d come was the hot tub with Buffy. He slowly got in the pool via the steps. Buffy moved to the shallow end of the pool, just past the last step into the pool. His soaking wet goddess gave him a sexy smile and he quickened his pace to get to her sooner. He soon forgot his apprehensions and was in the pool, with Buffy in his arms kissing her passionately. Buffy kissed him with equal force wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down into the water so only their heads were above the surface.

"Ahem!"

The couple broke their kiss to see Xander, Willow, and Oz staring at them.

"Just thought we’d remind you that you’re in *public*." Xander informed them.

Buffy sighed and pulled away, grabbing Angel by the arm and pulling him into deeper waters.

"Hey Deadboy, do you know how to swim?" Xander smirked, "I’d hate to see you drown."

"Xander the pool is only five and a half feet deep, Angel’s over six feet tall." Willow reminded him.

"Oh." Xander replied, humbled.

Buffy and Angel swam around a little, but ended up back in each other’s embrace, making out. Xander, being the impotent little snot he was, didn’t like that. If he wasn’t happy, he didn’t see why anyone else, especially Angel, should be. He swam over to the couple and started to chastise them again. Not even breaking the kiss, Angel reached out his hand and instinctively grabbed Xander’s head, dunking him under water. Buffy smiled against Angel’s lips as he held the imp underwater.

Soon after, the five of them had gone back up to the suite, taken turns showering, and dressed. Cordelia had gotten back just in time to change so that they could go out to dinner. After a meal filled with Xander whining about being drowned, they went back in the room and decided to watch "There’s Something About Mary."

When they showed Ben Stiller’s ‘beef and franks’ stuck in his zipper, the guys crossed their legs and winced while the girls laughed.

Angel whispered in Buffy’s ear "Honey, don’t laugh, that is *not* funny!"

Buffy just laughed harder.

"Buffy, I don’t want to!" Angel whined.

"Honey, you have to." Buffy told him sternly. "Would you prefer *I* sleep in the same room as Xander and Oz?"

"No." Angel grumbled.

Buffy stood on her tiptoes and kissed him lightly on the lips. "I’ll make it up to you later, I promise."

They kissed once more, before turning their separate ways and going to their bedrooms.

"This is *so* disappointing." Buffy sighed as she flopped down on the full size bed she’d share with Willow. "We had plans! Between taking care of my mom, school, slaying, and planning the wedding, Angel and I have hardly had a moment alone. We were supposed to get some ‘us’ time on this trip, but that was shot to Hell."

"Well, I know it’s not spending the night with him, but I’m sure we can get you two a few hours alone in here." Cordelia told her from her spot on the other bed.

Buffy wrinkled her nose. "But then you all will know what we’re doing."

"Yeah?" Willow replied as she sat on her side of the bed.

"Well, that’s weird." Buffy told her.

"Aww… is poor Angel going to be able to make it through the night without his slayer to protect him from the monsters?" Xander smirked as Angel walked into the room they would share. Oz was sitting on the foot of one bed reading a comic book and Xander was sitting at the foot of the other.

"Actually, I’m wondering if I’ll make it through the night without my slayer to stop me from killing you."

"You know, that wouldn’t surprise me. I’m doubt I’ll be able to sleep, gotta guard my neck."

"For the last time, I AM NOT A VAMPIRE! I DO NOT DRINK BLOOD!"

Oz looked up from his comic book. "You know, Xander, one might find your fascination with annoying Angel pretty unusual. At first, it looks like you’re just jealous because he has Buffy and you always wanted her; but you seem to *really* love it. I have to wonder if the reason you spend so much time pestering him has less to do with your attraction to Buffy and more to do with your attraction to Angel."

Xander, for once, was speechless. He stood, staring open-mouthed, at Oz for a moment before weakly saying "Na ah."

Oz raised his eyebrows and shrugged.

"I don’t!" Xander said, a little louder.

Angel snorted and turned away.

"Hey! If anyone likes anyone secretly, *he* likes *me*!" Xander accused.

"What? How did you come up with *that*?!" Angel argued.

"I see you, always looking at me!" Xander shouted, getting in Angel’s face.

Oz cringed, his goal had just been to abash Xander so that he’d quiet down, but instead he had just incited anger. Angel, for his part, seemed only to be defending himself, however, Xander was pushing harder and harder, and Angel was pushing back. Things were bound to get violent.

The girls sat in their room in silence, listening to the sounds of Angel and Xander shouting. Willow frowned with worry; Cordelia smiled at Angel’s insults at Xander, and Buffy winced with guilt over making Angel stay with him.

Buffy stood. "I better go break it up."

"No!" Cordelia argued, "Let them get it out. They can yell at each other for a few minutes and hopefully kill some of the animosity."

"Or they could just kill each other." Willow piped in.

Before any of them could say anything else, they heard the crash.

Angel was getting really pissed. Vaguely, in the background, he could hear Oz trying to get them to stop. He knew that he still had his vampiric strength, so he tried to hold back with Xander, but with every push Angel felt some of his self control melt away. So, when Xander tried to punch him in the face, Angel blocked it and punched the boy in the side of the face.

As soon as his hand met Xander’s cheek, Angel regretted his actions. Xander cupped the side of his face and hunched over. Angel moved to check his face for damage, but Xander used the opportunity of Angel letting his guard down to swing his arm around and nail Angel in the side of the face as well.

Angel flew into a blind rage and slammed into Xander. The two of them smashed into the bureau, which in turn hit the wall loudly and sent all the objects on top of it falling to the floor. Oz continued to try to break them up as they fought on the floor, neither really gaining the upper hand. Angel managed to pull his arm back and was right about to deliver a fierce punch to Xander’s nose, when he heard Buffy call his name.

He looked up and saw her in the doorway, Cordelia and Willow standing behind her. He saw the look on her face, the fear and worry, and his anger immediately melted. He stood and moved away from Xander, looking down.

Willow and Cordelia helped Xander up. Cordelia sighed and asked, "Do I really need to ask who started it?"

"I’m sorry." Angel told Buffy as she carefully placed an ice pack on his cheek.

Buffy sighed. "I should have known better than to ask you to stay with Xander. He’s not mature enough to handle it, I guess."

They were sitting on one of the beds in the girls’ room; Xander was in the guys’ room with Cordelia getting the same ice pack treatment.

"How are we going to spend 3 nights in the same room?"

"Maybe we can stick him on the couch!"

Angel smiled at his fiancée and let her kiss him sweetly on the lips. Willow interrupted them when she stood in the doorway and cleared her throat.

When the couple broke their kiss, looked over at her, she smiled, and said, "I think we may have a solution to the problem."

Half an hour later, Willow and Cordelia snuggled deeply into their beds, as did Oz and Xander in their room across the way. In the living room in between, Buffy and Angel cuddled together in the sofa bed they had just discovered.

Angel inhaled the sweet smell of Buffy’s hair. She always seemed to have a vanilla scent, no matter how long it had been since she’d showered. "This isn’t quite as nice as our own bedroom, but a vast improvement from our last situation."

"Agreed." Buffy smiled, before kissing him once more and snuggling into his chest and falling asleep.

Angel yawned as he and Buffy sat on a bench in Disneyland in the early morning sun. Even after everyone had settled for the night, he and Buffy still hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep and not because they were doing anything fun. Xander took it upon himself to periodically come into main room and turn on the bright lights to make sure Buffy and Angel weren’t doing anything besides sleeping. Unfortunately, every time he checked he woke them up.

Buffy wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head against his chest. "Why does Xander think he needs to be the fornication police? Anyway, I am *18* and we’re engaged! My mom allows us to have sex, why does he think he can say otherwise?"

"Honey, please stop before I have to hurt him again." Angel groaned.

"Sorry." Buffy replied before yawning.

Willow and Oz strolled over to them from the gift shop they had been browsing in with Cordelia and Xander.

"I knew we shouldn’t have stopped, even if just to look. Xander is trying to drag Cordelia out, but I doubt she can without buying *something*, even though we told her she’ll have to carry it all day." Willow told them.

"Well, hopefully she’ll just buy a pen or something she can fit in her purse." Buffy replied.

Oz and Willow gave her skeptical looks, while Angel smiled down at her. "Optimism is nice."

Cordelia came stomping out of the store with Xander close behind. "Hurry up before I change my mind Xander!"

Cordelia continued to stomp the rest of the way down Main Street. The other two couples quickly caught up and walked briskly to catch up.

Xander shrugged. "I got her to leave without buying something, but we have to get away from the store before she can’t resist any longer."

Once they were away from the stores, Cordelia slowed her pace. They wandered somewhat aimlessly on Adventureland. The first thing they came across was the Indiana Jones Adventure. Buffy explained to Angel that it was a ride based on a movie while Xander rolled his eyes at Angel’s lack of knowledge about 20th century culture. Soon after they got off that ride, they moved on to New Orleans Square and laughed their way through the Haunted Mansion.

As soon as he saw the sign for Pirates of the Caribbean, Xander broke into a run.

"Xander, you halfwit, I am *not* running in these shoes, so you better slow down!" Cordelia yelled at him.

They found the boy waiting impatiently for them at the entrance to the ride. On their boat, Angel and Buffy sat in the row behind him, watching in wonder as Xander hooted and hollered. Apparently, pirates were Xander’s big thing, because he bought a hideous hat and sword at the shop at the exit.

The group decided to take a break and have some frozen lemonade. Oz and Angel went to get the drinks as the girls sat on a bench and Xander pretended to be a pirate.

Cordelia shook her head. "*Why* do I date him?"

The other two girls shrugged their shoulders, then winced as Xander, who had been walking backwards and swinging his sword at an imaginary foe, walked into a guy who just happened to be built like a weightlifter. The two of them went down with a thud. As they got up, Xander was extremely apologetic, more than a little scared for his life. The guy was not easily forgiving, however. He started pushing Xander in the chest. Buffy stood up and started walking over to them.

"Girl! Girl! Remember, you’re just a girl!" Willow called after her.

She was right, but Buffy that figured maybe she could use her excellent people skills to absolve Xander. She walked over to the guy and calmly said "Listen, my friend didn’t mean to run into you, it was an accident. No harm, no foul."

The guy glared at her. "Your friend needs to start paying attention to where he’s going. Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to teach him a lesson."

He started to move to hit Xander, who flinched, when Buffy grabbed his arm. "But I do mind."

"Listen, Sweetie, I usually don’t like to hit girls, but you’re asking for it."

Cordelia stood up and told Willow. "Get Angel."

The redhead stood up and raced in the direction of the frozen lemonade stand. Cordelia walked over to where Buffy and the creep were about to come to blows. The passersby were looking over at the people arguing with a curious eye, but dared not to get into anything that wasn’t their business.

"Oh, look at the manly man, going to hit a girl?" Cordelia chided.

Rolling his eyes, the creep replied "Oh great, another big mouthed girl."

"Listen, if you’d just leave him alone, we’ll leave you alone." Buffy told him.

The guy laughed and said, "Do you think you’re intimidating me?"

"No, but I bet I could." Angel replied from where he stood behind Buffy. As soon as Willow had told him of the situation, he had gotten out of line and raced over.

Taking a step back, the creep said "Fine, this is ridiculous, I’m out of here."

After he was gone, Cordelia snatched Xander’s hat and sword away, hitting him up sides the head with them. They decided the best thing to do with them would be to put them in a locker, and have more mature people hold them until they got to the locker area.

After that fiasco, they got their lemonades and headed over to Splash Mountain. Willow was more than happy to sit on a bench with Xander’s pirate things and weight, while they went on the ride, saying that the five-story drop at a 90-degree angle didn’t agree with her.

They decided they might as well stop for lunch at the Hungry Bear Restaurant, since it had food that appealed to everyone, and Willow and Buffy liked the idea of looking at the river while having their meal. Xander managed not to be hit by anyone throughout the meal, and Buffy and Angel even refrained from making out.

Right after that, they went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which did not agree with Buffy’s stomach. As soon as they got off, she raced for the restroom.

Concerned, Willow bit her lip and said, "I better go make sure she’s okay."

As they watched her walk away, the guys looked at Cordelia, who told them "She’s *puking*! Willow is with her, she doesn’t need me too!"

A few minutes later, the two girls emerged from the ladies room.

Angel stood up and walked over to his girlfriend. "Are you okay?"

Buffy smiled and nodded. "I’m fine, that ride was just a little too… moving…. for me after I ate. I need to get a drink or something, though, my mouth’s all dry now."

After Buffy had something to sip on, they decided to take it easy and explore the stores of Frontierland, much to Cordelia’s joy. However, she was disappointed in the type of stores. It kept with the theme of Frontierland, so it was all old west items.

"Jeez, Buffy, couldn’t you have tossed your cookies in a cooler land?" Cordelia griped.

"Sorry Cordy, I’m really trying to work out my bodily functions to better suit your shopping needs."

Since there was nothing else they were interested in seeing there, they moved on to Fantasyland. The shopping available in this land pleased Cordelia, along with the other girls, immensely. There was a princess theme throughout. For once, Angel and Xander agreed that all the pink and ribbons were going to make them ill, so they waited outside on a bench.

The girls managed to drag them into the Mad Hatter shop, where Angel out and out refused to wear a hat with his name on it. He wouldn’t even wear a headband with Mickey ears to go with her Minnie ears. She bought hers and pouted, but to no avail. After everyone had their items, they headed for the Tinkerbell shop. Angel found a Tinkerbell costume that was meant for little girls, but showed it to Buffy.

"Angel, that’s for little girls, I am not a little girl."

"No, you’re a little woman." He grinned. "Come on, we’ll get you the biggest size, it’ll probably fit."

"I’ll be busting out of it!"

Angel moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her. He leaned his head down and whispered "What’s kind of the point."

Buffy rolled her eyes and swatted his arm. "Pervo!"

They laughed before kissing tenderly. Xander walked over and rolled his eyes.

"Get a room!" He told them, before wandering off to another part of the store.

After they had visited all the shops in the area, they found a locker and stuck Xander’s pirate gear and all the other things they had bought in there, then moved on to the rides.

They found many rides to go on in this area, they went on the Alice in Wonderland, It’s a Small World, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and quite a few others. By the time they got to the Mad Tea Party, both Angel and Oz had to use the restroom, so the other four went. They got out just in time to see Xander bouncing out the exit to the ride and Buffy, Willow, and Cordelia staggering behind him.

"You’re sick again?" Angel asked Buffy, his voice full of concern.

"We all are, thanks to dumbass here, we all are!" Cordelia complained.

"Don’t be wusses!" Xander shouted. "Now let’s go! What’s the next land?"

"Mickey’s Toon Town." Willow told him as they all followed him.

Most of the attractions in Toon Town didn’t appeal to anyone but Xander, so they just sat around while he explored Minnie’s House and bounced along with all the five year olds in Goofy’s bounce house.

They went ahead and had a late dinner, after Buffy convinced Angel she felt fine. They stopped at a pizza place in Tomorrowland, and this time, they went slow and shopped before going on rides again.

Buffy turned out to be an even worse driver in Autopia then she was in real life, so between the way she jerked all over the track and that Xander kept rear ending them, Angel was pretty sure he had whiplash. They went on several more rides in the next few hours, so they decided to leave at nine.

"Are you all crazy?! The park doesn’t close for three hours!" Xander argued.

"Xander, we’ve been here since nine this morning. We’re tired!" Buffy told him.

"So what!"

Angel got fed up with his whining. "Fine, you stay, we’ll go."

"Okay!" Xander agreed, happy to make Angel eat his words.

"Fine, Angel will pick you up at midnight." Oz told him.

Angel and Buffy groaned. No fun for them that night.

"Come on, Honey, come with me." Angel pleaded.

"I want to go to sleep." Buffy told him.

"But we’ll just wake you up when we get back in, so you should just come with me."

Buffy lay back on the sofa bed. "Sleeping."

Angel grabbed her and slung her over his shoulder. "Nope, you’re coming with me, you’re not even in your pajamas."

"Hey!" She protested, but ceased when he smacked her on the butt.

Halfway down the hall, he finally set her back on her feet. "Did you see it’s only eleven?"

"It is?"

"Yeah, you know, we really don’t need to leave for a while… we could… oh.. sit in the parking lot doing *nothing* for half an hour…" he hinted.

Buffy smiled. "I love doing nothing. I’m *dying* to do nothing."

At that, Angel grabbed her hand and pulled her swiftly to Oz’s van. After he’d shut the door behind them, Buffy lay on the floor, even more excited than usual. Angel was always so careful around her; she loved anything remotely wild.

"Oh, God, I can’t believe we’ve resorted to making love on the floor of someone’s van." Angel groaned as he moved to lie next to her, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her half on top of him.

"I kind of like it." Buffy told him, blushing.

"But you deserve to be on a bed at the very least."

Buffy shrugged, "I think it’s kind of… arousing.. to make love in a car. Don’t get me wrong, I love making love with you anywhere or anytime, but I do… wonder about being a little wilder sometimes."

"Buffy, what about in the plane? Or in that bathroom in San Francisco? Or that park?"

Buffy smiled. "Some of my favorite times. I guess you aren’t into it, though, huh?"

"I didn’t say that." He told her as he softly ran his hand up and down her body. "I just… want to worship you, I don’t want to degrade you in any way."

"You wouldn’t be degrading me." Buffy told him, before pulling out of his embrace and sliding down his body. She unbuckled his pants and smiled mischievously at him. He lifted his hips to help her pull his pants and boxers to his knees. He was already very erect as Buffy slowly stroked his length, before she moved her mouth to it. She ran her tongue over the underside of his penis, causing his hips to thrust upward, straining for more contact with her mouth. She gave him what he wanted, engulfing as much of him as she could, knowing she’d never be able to take him all. She moved her right hand up the caress his testicles, and stroked his thigh with her left hand. She took him out of her mouth, kissing the underside of his erection, driving him crazy the way she teased his sensitive skin. She moved all the way down to his testicles, licking and sucking them experimentally.

"Buffy…. please…" he groaned.

Buffy pulled away, teasingly, and asked in her most innocent voice. "Please what?"

Angel flipped her over in one fell swoop, yanking her shorts down her legs, pulling them past her sandal clad feet. She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist; the feel of him positioned at her entrance making her crazy.

Angel grinned; it was his turn for revenge. "Now what was it I wanted to do?"

"Make love to me?"

Angel never could deny her anything.

"What happened to you two?" Xander asked, annoyed, as he got in the van. "You were supposed to be here twenty minutes ago."

Buffy half turned in the passenger seat. "Sorry Xand, we dozed off and woke up late."

"I guess so! Your hair is a mess!"

Buffy smiled and smoothed down her hair. "Did you have fun even though you were all alone?"

"Meet any fun ten year old boys to play with you?" Angel joked.

Buffy shot him a look as Xander shouted "Would you just shut up?!"

"I wish you two could go five minutes being civilized. I’d give *anything* because it’s driving me nuts!" Buffy told them both, crossing her arms over her chest.

The guys were silent for the rest of the drive.

"Where are Buffy and Angel?" Xander asked as he and Oz came into the suite with a box full of donuts.

"Showering." Cordelia answered with a smile.

Xander didn’t think much of it and started munching on a donut. A moment later, there was a large banging sound. Cordelia and Willow erupted in laughter; Oz smiling and shaking his head as he realized what was going on.

Xander, oblivious as ever, hadn’t a clue. "What is that noise?"

"Sounds like someone is hammering." Cordelia replied before breaking into laughter again.

"But it’s coming from….. your bathroom…. I don’t believe this! My God, they are nymphomaniacs! Can’t they control themselves for a few days?"

They spent the next several moments with Xander fuming, Oz off in his own little world, and the girls giggling. All the while, the banging never ceased.

"Buffy is going to have bruises all over her back!" Cordelia exclaimed before laughing hysterically again.

Ten minutes later, the banging stopped. Soon after they could hear, the water shut off. They all watched with amusement- except for Xander, who glared- waiting for the couple to emerge from the girls’ bedroom. They finally did a few minutes later, both looking embarrassed.

Cordelia wanted to make a crack, but she knew if she tried to talk all she’d be able to do was laugh, so she just grinned along with Willow; Oz just smiled slyly; and Xander shot them dirty looks.

"Four days. Not even four full days! You guys can’t just refrain for that long?"

"Well, we were.. um … trying to conserve water!" Buffy argued.

Angel put his hand on her shoulder. "We can do what we want, we’re consenting adults and we’re not hurting anybody." He looked around the room. "Are we?"

Everyone but Xander, who rolled his eyes, shook their heads.

"Although, I think you scared Willow a little bit." Cordelia giggled, while Willow’s face blushed so it matched her hair.

"Why don’t we get moving so we can get to Knott’s before it opens?" Oz suggested.

Buffy and Angel finished getting ready while everyone else ate their breakfasts, and they were soon on their way to Knott’s Berry Farm. They were glad to see that since this park wasn’t as big of an attraction as Disneyland, there wasn’t as big of a line as well. As soon as they got in, Xander started campaigning to go on roller coasters, since they had all digested and Buffy and Angel hadn’t eaten anything yet…he hoped.

The first ride they went on was the Timber Mountain log ride, which was a bad idea, because they all got a little wet. It wasn’t too bad, but it was enough to make Cordelia whine. Then they went on the Ghost Rider, which just served to make non-roller coaster loving Willow nervous. When they got in line to go on Montezuma’s Revenge next, she decided to sit it out, and warned everyone of Fabio’s tragedy, but they told her not to worry, there weren’t any birds flying around. After that, Angel and Buffy decided to eat some breakfast- giant pretzels- while Cordelia, Oz, and Xander went on the Boomerang.

They decided to go on a ride everyone would enjoy, bumper cars. This turned out to be a smash fest between Angel and Xander, but they all still managed to have fun. Since she had sat and waited while they went on rides, they decided to let Willow pick the next ride- she dragged them into Camp Snoopy. On the ever exciting, five-mile per hour train ride, they decided to stop for lunch soon. At Willow’s begging, they stopped at one more ride first, the ferris wheel. They hadn’t even made one rotation when the ride lurched to a stop. Buffy, who was stuck at the top with Angel, tried to look and see if they were letting more people on. A few minutes later, someone got on a loudspeaker and said they were having temporary technical problems that would be fixed momentarily.

Angel groaned. "We’re stuck up here? Great, that pretzel did nothing for me, I’m *starving*!"

Buffy patted his thigh. "Don’t worry, they usually fix these things pretty quickly. How about we try to focus on other things?" She grinned as she leaned over and seized his lips in a passion-filled kiss.

Angel acquiesced, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her tight against him. Buffy opened her mouth and their tongues engaged in a battle as old as time.

"You two aren’t screwing around up there are you?" Xander shouted from his seat below.

Buffy broke the kiss when she began to laugh. Angel couldn’t help but join her. "No, Xander, we’re not!"

"Well, that is amazing! You two have been alone for two whole minutes and no getting jiggy?!"

Buffy stopped giggling and she and Angel resumed their kissing for a few more moments until the ride got back in working order. As soon as they got off the ferris wheel, they booked it over to the Ghost Town Grill, the girls had insisted they go to an actual restaurant and not just the fast food they had been eating for the past two days.

After they had filled their stomachs, they decided to take it easy and see some shows until they’d digested. Buffy was delighted to find out they weren’t too late in the season for the Snoopy Ice Show. Xander had to admit he’d enjoyed the nap. He and Oz dragged them into Lazer Invaders, a sort of high tech battlefield. Then after they went through the Dinosaur Discovery Center, per Willow’s request, they decided to try some rides again.

By the time they went on the Supreme Scream, the Windjammer, and several other roller coasters, they decided to hit one more ride, then leave the park for a nice dinner and a night of fun. Wisely, they picked Bigfoot Rapids as the last ride.

They all enjoyed the ride; it wasn’t too fast for Willow, and not too slow for everyone else. Buffy recognized from the many trips with her friends when she had lived in LA that the ride was almost over.

"Angel! Help me turn the boat!" She yelled, a grin on her face.

Willow, remembering their discussion when they’d been in line, smiled and tried to help the blonde slayer get the boat at the appropriate angle. Xander and Angel both looked at her strangely, but they both helped turn the boat. When Willow and Buffy looked up and saw Xander helping they began to laugh hysterically.

"What is wrong with you?" Xander asked.

"Here it comes!" Buffy yelled.

"Here what comes?" Cordelia asked from her spot next to Xander.

"The waterfall!" Willow told her.

Cordelia turned her head in time to see a waterfall about ten feet away. A waterfall that would run right over Xander’s head. Everyone besides Xander saw the waterfall, so they all moved to avoid- as much as possible- getting wet.

"Buffy, why are you acting so weir…." The water gushing over his head interrupted him.

A second later, everyone opened their eyes. They were all wet. Buffy instantly regretted wearing a white shirt; her shorts were already uncomfortable because they were wet, as were her shoes and socks. However, her hair was dry, so that was a good thing. Angel, Oz, and Willow were in pretty much the same condition. Poor Cordelia, however, was completely soaked from the neck down. She had somehow managed to cover her head so at least her hair wasn’t a mess.

Xander was drenched. From head to toe, there was not a dry spot on his body.

Buffy could not stop laughing to save her life. As it was, Angel had to help her off the ride, she was still hysterical. After they had walked out of the exit to the ride and she was still giggling, Xander was fed up.

"Okay, okay, it’s very funny, Buff, can we please stop laughing now?"

Buffy nodded, wiping tears from her eyes. "I’ll try!"

Angel smiled and rolled his eyes, wrapping his arm around her as the group walked out of the park.

They got back to the hotel and took turns showering. After everyone had changed into their best clothes, they hit the town, going to an expensive Italian restaurant Cordelia knew about. They had a pretty good time, despite Cordelia’s constant chastising of Xander’s manners. After they ate, they took a leisurely stroll; for once everyone was peaceful.

They decided to go play some board games Willow had brought back in the hotel. Surprisingly, even Xander and Angel got along all evening.

Buffy feigned exhaustion, so that everyone went to bed in their respective rooms and left her and Angel alone. The happy couple made out for a while before Buffy convinced him to take a chance at being caught and they pulled the covers over their head. They made love, slowly, and careful to be quiet, before falling asleep in each other’s arms.

"What’s my dad doing here?" Buffy asked to no one in particular as Oz pulled up in front of her house. They had already dropped Angel, Xander and Cordelia off at their homes.

Buffy thanked them for the ride and hopped out of the van, her bag in hand. She opened the front door and looked around for a sign of life. "I’m home! Anybody here?"

"In the kitchen, Sweetie." Was Joyce’s muffled reply.

Buffy walked into the kitchen and was greeted by the sight of her mother, father, and an agitated looking Giles sitting at the kitchen table drinking tea.

"There’s my princess." Hank stood, grinning at his daughter.

"Daddy!" Buffy grinned, launching herself into her father’s arms. "What are you doing here?"

"I dropped by, a friend of mine gave me something for you."

"Oh cool! I missed you!" Buffy replied. "Hi Mom, Giles."

"Hello Buffy." Giles replied, smiling warmly at his stepdaughter.

"Hi Honey, did you have fun in Disneyland?" Joyce asked, getting up and hugging Buffy, albeit a strained hug since Joyce’s belly seemed to grow every day.

"Time of my life." Buffy replied.

"Your… fiancé… Angel, went with you?" Hank asked as Joyce sat back down and he and Buffy joined them at the table.

"Yeah, it was Angel and I and the rest of our group of friends."

"Oh, well that’s good. Angel, actually, has a lot to do with what I brought for you."

"What did you bring me?"

"That’s what we have been dying to know!" Joyce smiled.

"Well, you remember my friend, Steve, he’s an obstetrician. He lent me something after I told him about that doll you had to take care of."

"Don’t tell me it’s another doll!" Buffy wailed.

Hank smiled. "Not quite." He turned and opened a box that was sitting on the kitchen counter and pulled out a contraption of fabric and weights. "It’s called ‘The Belly,’ Buffy. It’s designed to let you know what it feels like to be pregnant."

Buffy, Joyce, and Giles’ jaws dropped open.

"Why do I need it?" Buffy asked tentatively.

"Well, you’re young, and I know you’re planning on getting married, but you still should wait a few years before you have kids, so I thought this would unromantisize pregnancy for you. Put it on, Buffy."

"But.."

"Come on!" Hank insisted.

Buffy sighed and allowed him to slip the apparatus on her. "Ugh."

"Not as nice as it seems, huh?" Hank smiled.

"It never seemed nice, Dad."

Giles shook his head in disbelief. "If you’ll all excuse me, I have some work to do in the den, call me when dinner is ready."

"Hank, I can’t believe you are making her wear that!"

"Well, she is a young girl! They get ideas in their head that it’s fun to have a baby!" He argued, then looked at Buffy. "Angel isn’t putting ideas in your head like that, is he?"

Buffy shook her head.

"He better not!"

By the time Hank left, Buffy was just as achy as Joyce. Giles was running around fetching things for both women.

Soon after, Joyce trudged up to bed and Buffy helped Giles clean up.

"Buffy, your father was right about one thing."

"He is?"

"Please, don’t get pregnant. I’m too old to take care of the both of you."

Buffy laughed and hugged Giles. It was rare that they had a moment where they showed emotion, but that just made the moments all the more special.

"Good night, Buffy." He smiled, before heading up the stairs.

"Night!" she replied, before going into the kitchen to call Angel. Every time they came home after a vacation was hard, she’d miss being in his arms that night. As she dialed his number, she smiled to herself, thinking of the day she would marry him and never have to spend another night without him.
