Wedding Plans

CONTENT: Angel/Buffy bickerment and smut. NC17

SUMMARY: Buffy is pissed at Angel for not helping plan the wedding. Will he be able to make it up to her? Takes place in my demented AIL universe.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" characters or situations (I will even give my story ideas to Joss in exchange for a day on the set). I am borrowing them, without permission, and I mean no harm to them. They all belong to Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, Fox, and Warner Brothers. I wrote this purely for entertainment and not at all for profit.

NOTE: Thanks to Mel for proofing and for helping me decide on flowers. Thanks to Deede for her wonderful support! Also, I blatantly rip off one of my favorite scenes from "Cruel Intentions," but it won’t ruin the movie if you haven’t seen it!

"Hi Buffy!" Willow greeted cheerfully as she and Cordelia walked into the Summers-Giles home.

Buffy yawned and replied. "Hey."

Cordelia wrinkled her nose. "What's wrong with you?"

"I was up until four a.m. trying to pick flowers." Buffy told them tiredly.

"Isn't Angel helping?" Willow asked.

Buffy shook her head. "All he says is pick what I want. I tried to sit him down and get him to help make decisions, but he is no help!"

Cordelia sat down on the couch as the other two found seats in Buffy's living room. "Men!"

"I swear, I came very close to just dragging Angel off to Vegas, copying my mother, and eloping."

"Oh! Don't do that! We're all excited about the wedding! Cordy and I are even working hard to find a dress we both like! That's not easy to find one we both look good in since she….. I…."

"I have a woman's figure and you have one of a 12 year old boy?" Cordelia suggested.

Willow narrowed her eyes at her. "Too bad you couldn't buy tact."

"Actually, I was thinking about it and it would be kind of cool if you two had different dresses, just the same color." Buffy suggested.

"Lilac?" Willow and Cordelia asked in unison.

Buffy smiled. "Sounds good to me."

"We better get going, our fitting is in fifteen minutes." Cordelia told them.

The three girls headed out the door.

"Hey, where's your mom and Giles anyway?" Cordelia asked as Buffy shut the door behind them.

"They went to LA for the night, remember she had some banquet?"

"Oh yeah, but Angel didn't have to go?" Willow asked.

"Nope, I guess he could have if we'd wanted." Buffy sighed, getting into the passenger seat. "That could have been nice, a banquet, I bet Angel looks hot in a tux."

The other two nodded in agreement.

Cordelia smiled as she backed the car out of the driveway. "Look on the bright side. No parents for the night, maybe Angel can help you work out your stress."

"No way. I figure if I'm stuck planning the whole wedding alone, Angel will not be getting any action."

Willow raised her eyebrows. "You told him this and he still won't help you?"

Buffy checked her nails. "Didn't tell him. He'll find out soon enough."

"When's the last time you guys… uh.. you know." Willow blushed.

Buffy smiled at her friend's shyness. "Last Wednesday night, before he pissed me off. I missed 'Party of Five' because of him! I heard it was good!"

"Oh, it was! Well, you know Julia left Ned last week and then this week he was all annoying her to date him again, reminded me of Xander the way he can be so like a parasite. She told him how she called the cops and school officials, his parents, and everyone knows what he did and he has to stay away from her!" Cordelia told her.

"For real?!" Buffy exclaimed. Cordelia nodded and Buffy groaned "Damn you Angel."

"I thought you two went at it like dogs in heat, he hasn't figured out you aren't going to let him touch you yet?" Cordelia asked.

"Dogs in heat? Oh gee thanks Cordy!" Buffy replied. "Well, it's been 3 days… he'll probably call me up tonight.. in that case, do you two want to spend the night? We can have girlie girl fun."

"Sounds fine with me." Cordy agreed.

"But if we're spending the night, Angel's not going to realize the reason you aren't sleeping with him is because of him." Willow told her.

Buffy shrugged. "I don't trust myself to have self control. Trust me, Angel comes over, nibbles on my neck, I'll be putty in his hands."

"I could understand that." Cordelia agreed.

"How long are you going to… boycott sleeping with Angel?" Willow asked.

"I don't know.. until he helps with the wedding, or until I get too horny. Most likely the latter because I doubt he'll ever help, if we left it up to him I'd never get married!"

Willow naively asked, "Why won't he help?"

"Because he's a guy!" Buffy and Cordelia both replied.

Cordelia nodded her head, knowingly. "I can see the transformation. Angel was a vampire, not a normal guy; he didn't have normal guy problems. Now Angel is human, and he is slowly acting more and more like a human guy. And if there is one thing all human guys are, it's annoying."

Buffy frowned. "Well if Angel is changing, am I still going to love him when he's all…. transformed?"

"Buffy just imagine the way he looks right now. Ooh, remember what it's like when you guys…. do your thing. Isn't it worth it?" Cordelia suggested.

"Oh yeah, good point!" Buffy smiled. "I'm glad you guys are spending the night, my willpower would definitely go right out the window!"

"We're here!" Willow grinned as Cordelia pulled up to the bridal shop. The girls hopped out of the car to go get fitted.

"I really love the dress you decided on Buffy." Willow smiled.

"Yeah, even *I* do." Cordelia agreed.

Buffy smiled. "Thanks, I must have looked at a thousand dresses before I found it. I wanted something simple."

"So, what else do you have to do?" Willow asked as she took a bite out of the pizza they'd ordered.

Buffy groaned. "Well, I couldn't decide on flowers last night, so I need to go to the florist sometime this week; I need to go pick a cake tomorrow afternoon; I need a caterer… and who knows what else."

"So, once you get all this stuff done you're set until the wedding?" Cordelia asked, picking the olives off her pizza.

"Well, I will have little things to do, like invitations. But, I already have the place booked and the dresses are picked out and we're fitted. We have hair appointments for the morning of the wedding, nail appointments for the afternoon before. And we still have four months because I couldn't get an opening until July. I'm doing good, right?"

The other two shrugged and Willow answered "I've never planned a wedding. Why isn't your mom helping you?"

"I didn't want to ask her. She has enough to worry about with the baby and the gallery."

"Speaking of, are they, like, totally not noticing you now?" Cordelia asked.

Buffy rolled her eyes. "I wish! My mom read in one of her books that it would help the whole family if you really involved the sibling, so I get to go with them when she gets the ultrasound to find out if it's a boy or a girl next month."

Willow asked, "What do you want?"

Buffy shrugged. "To sleep in."

"No, I mean, boy or girl?"

"Oh." Buffy shrugged. "I don't really care."

"What if they make you change diapers?!" Cordelia shrieked.

Buffy and Willow gave her funny looks. Before they could say anything, the doorbell rang.

"Be right back." Buffy said as she pushed herself away from the table.

"Hey Baby." Angel smiled as his girlfriend opened the door.

"Hey." Buffy replied casually. "What are you doing here?"

Angel was dumbfounded at her lack of… happiness.. to see him. "Well, I, uh, came to see you. Maybe help you patrol. Keep you company tonight?"

"You've seen me, I'm taking the night off, and Willow and Cordy are spending the night." Buffy replied in a bored tone.

"Oh." He whispered, disappointed. He was really in the mood, but it didn't appear Buffy was interested at all.

"Hi Angel!" Willow greeted from the dining room. "Want some pizza?"

Angel was about to decline, when he thought better of it. If he ate pizza, he could stay, and maybe he could persuade Buffy to sneak off with him for 20 minutes or so. "Sure!"

Buffy plopped down in a seat and picked at her pizza. Angel sat in the seat next to her and gratefully took a paper plate with a slice of pizza on it from Willow.

Cordelia stood up. "Buffy, let's go get Angel a drink."

"We *both* have to get him a drink?" Buffy asked, her eyebrow arched.

Cordelia gave her the 'don't argue with me' stare and the two moved into the kitchen.

"You're going about this wrong." Cordelia whispered.

"What do you mean?" Buffy replied in an equally quiet tone.

"You have to tease more, let him think he stands a chance, then tell him your little 'plan' about no help, no sex."

Buffy nodded, then asked, "Have any tips?"

Buffy grabbed a can of Dr. Pepper out of the refrigerator and the two walked back to the dining room.

"Here Sweetie." Buffy smiled as she handed Angel the soda and kissed the top of his head. Angel smiled brightly at her, almost making her feel bad for punishing him, but then she remembered what a rat bastard he was for not helping.

"Thanks Buffy." Angel was surprised to see the obvious change in Buffy's demeanor. He would have to thank Cordelia later for saying whatever she said to Buffy to put her in such a good mood.

Angel ate his slice of pizza swiftly while Buffy formed a plan. She grinned at Willow and Cordelia and said, "You know what sounds fun? Renting a video."

Willow gasped. "Can we rent 'Ever After' please?"

"Sounds good to me. Why don't you two go rent it and I'll clean up."

"Clean up? We used paper plates and drank out of cans." Willow naively argued.

Cordelia stomped on her foot under the table and beamed at Buffy and Angel. "Fine with me. Come on Willow."

Confused, the redhead followed Cordelia out the door. As soon as they were gone, Buffy looked at Angel and smiled. "Alone at last."

Angel leaned over to kiss her, but she put her hand over his mouth, halting him. "Let's go sit somewhere more comfortable, the couch, perhaps?"

Angel could only nod, the anticipation making speaking difficult. He let her lead him by the hand to the couch. She sat down and patted the spot next to her. He sat down and immediately leaned over and devoured her mouth with his own. Buffy kissed him back for a few moments allowing her tongue to intermingle with his, occasionally nipping his lower lip between her teeth. When his hands started to roam over her back to cup her breasts, Buffy pulled her lips away and breathlessly began to speak.

"I have such a busy day tomorrow. I have to go order the cake and try to run to the florist. It's not easy doing it alone."

Angel nodded, only half listening to her words, and moved his mouth to her neck. Buffy stood up and pushed a protesting Angel back so that he leaned against the arm of the couch. Smiling coyly, she sat down on his lap. Angel raised an eyebrow, unsure of her intentions. He soon found out as Buffy started rolling her hips, rubbing herself against his groin. Angel moved his hands so that they were on her abdomen.

Buffy sensually whispered "I wish you'd help me plan the wedding."

Strained, Angel replied "I just want you to have everything the way you liked." He stopped and groaned. "I wanna stay out of your… way."

Buffy moved her hips around more rapidly. "We're supposed to.. do it… together, Angel."

"Buffy.." Angel murmured hoarsely. "I don't know anything about… weddings… can't you just… pick it… yourself?"

Buffy smiled wickedly and ground her hips into him. "I want you to help me, but if you don't want to….. that's fine.."

Angel smiled triumphantly and pulled her down on him further. All of a sudden, Buffy stopped wiggling. She half sat up and peered in the direction of his now painful erection.

"Down boy." She joked before hopping up off that couch, leaving Angel dumbfounded.

She walked back into the dining room and began clearing the paper plates and cans. Angel sat up on the couch.

Finally he found his voice again. "But.. you can't do that!"

Buffy raised her eyebrow. "I can't? I think I just did."

"Why?" He whimpered.

"Think of it this way. You don't help with the wedding you don't get sex. Easy enough?"

He shot her his best puppy dog look.

"Don't even try it! I'm supposed to feel bad for you because you don't get to have sex? Well, what about me? I have slaying to worry about! I have school! I don't know much about weddings either!"

Angel sighed. "I know, but guys don't care about weddings Honey."

Buffy crossed her arms over her chest. "You don't care? Our wedding day is supposed to be one of the best days of our lives and you don't care?"

"I didn't mean it like that!"

"Well, what did you mean then?"

"I just meant that if I had to go with you to pick out a dress and stuff I would grab a plastic bag and give it to you, because you would look incredibly beautiful and then I could take you home and make love to you!"

Buffy rolled her eyes. "Give me a break!"

Before Angel could protest, he heard someone turning the handle to the front door. Cordelia and Willow crept in.

"What if we walk in on them?" Willow whispered.

Cordelia replied in a low voice. "We better not, Buffy had better have stuck with the plan!"

Angel groaned. He should have known Buffy couldn't have come up with this plan all by herself.

Buffy came out of the kitchen and smiled. "Get the movie?"

Willow nodded excitedly and held the tape up.

"Cool, I've got popcorn in the microwave, so we're set." Buffy told her.

Willow went into the living room to set the tape up and Cordelia moved next to Buffy. "How'd it go?"

"Exactly like we planned."

The two girls smiled then went into the living room. Angel was still sitting on the couch, a look of discomfort on his face. Willow was getting the movie ready.

"Are you going to stay and watch with us girls, Angel?" The redhead asked.

"Oh, no, he wouldn't be interested, would you Honey? Watching this movie, well, it'd be like doing something he hates, like planning the wedding!" Buffy said pointedly.

Angel nodded, and trying not to hurt himself, stood up. He gave Buffy one more sad look and whimpered. "I love you."

Buffy bit her lip and pretended not to care. "You too." She flopped down in the armchair as Cordelia sat on the couch.

Angel walked out of the house, slowly, Willow watching him with a curious eye.

"I wonder what's wrong with Angel? He's walking like C3PO."

Buffy and Cordelia broke out in laughter.

Willow shook her head, not understanding the other two. "Oh, 'cause C3PO is just so funny! I felt bad for him!"

Buffy pulled into the parking spot with a squeal and hauled ass into the bakery. She was fifteen minutes late. She pulled open the door and was surprised to find Angel leaning against the counter with a smile on his face.

"Hi Buffy." He said as he walked over and kissed her cheek.

Surprised, she replied. "Hey."

"Oh good, your fiancée is here!" The baker cheered from the other side of the counter. "Should we begin designing your cake?"

The couple spent an hour picking out their cake. Smiling hand in hand, they walked out of the bakery.

"Do you want to go get a late lunch or something?" Buffy asked.

"Actually, I was thinking seven o'clock, dinner, my place."

Buffy gave him a curious look. "Are you up to something?"

"Me?" Angel feigned innocence.

Buffy wrapped her arms around his waist and asked "You're planning on liquoring me up so you can have your wicked way with me, aren't you?"

Angel just smiled and said "Wait and see." He kissed her on the forehead and unwrapped her arms, pulling her to her car. She hit the button to unlock the doors and he opened the driver's door for her, kissing her once more before she sat down. He waved as she backed out then headed for his own car.

He had work to do.

Buffy adjusted the hem of her dress before knocking on Angel's door. She had spent the remainder of the afternoon with Cordelia, picking out an outfit and getting her hair done. Then she had spent a few minutes greeting Giles and her mother upon their return from LA. It was two minutes to seven and she stood before Angel's door in her black velvet spaghetti strap dress. Against her better judgment, she had let Cordelia talk her into going underwearless, so all she wore besides the dress was her black strappy heels. She had her hair pulled up and away from her face, save for a few stray ringlets, just the way he liked it. Angel was in for a nice surprise.

The door opened and Angel was taken aback, still astonished by her beauty after the over two years they had known each other. He smiled and reached his hand out to her.

"You look amazing." He said softly, before dipping his head down for a heated kiss.

As the pulled away, Buffy looked at his attire more closely. "You're wearing leather pants!"

Angel grinned. "I know you love them."

He was right, Buffy found them irresistible. She ran her hands up and down the sides of his thighs, enticing him. He moaned and pulled her hands away.

"No, we have other things to do first." He told her. He pulled her further inside and she found the apartment lit by candlelight; he had placed candles of different shapes and sizes in various places, finishing the romantic look of the room with soft classical music playing in the background. Buffy had never really liked it before, but Angel seemed to make everything sexy.

Her eyes settled on the small table Angel used to eat at, which was covered with a white tablecloth and deep red rose petals. There was a tall white candle and two plates and glasses set on the table.

Angel pulled the seat out and Buffy sat, allowing him to push her in. He served her dinner and then chocolate mousse for dessert. Afterwards they kissed across the table. Buffy started to fun her foot along the side of his calf. Abruptly, Angel stood up.

"We still have something left to do before that." He told her, leaving her alone in the room.

Buffy pouted. "Something else?"

Angel came back in, his arms filled with flowers. "I took the liberty of going to the florist myself, and I picked out which flowers I liked that I thought you would like for the wedding."

Buffy beamed at him. When he made an effort he could be so perfect!

After they had looked at the Easter lilies, sunflowers, irises, wild flowers, and roses; they decided the various colors of the wildflowers would compliment Buffy's simple style for the wedding and match Willow and Cordelia's dresses.

With that done, they set aside the flowers and Buffy and Angel raced to the bed. Buffy yanked Angel shirt and untucked it, the two of them quickly unbuttoning it and throwing it to the floor. The leather pants were another story. Like most things in life, looking good didn't equal practicality.

Buffy ended up kneeling at Angel's feet- a vision Angel was sure to have embedded in his memory for life- and pulling off his boots, then hooking her fingers in his waistband and maneuvering them down his legs. For his part, Angel did shimmy quite a bit, which brought a smile to Buffy's lips. Pulling them down his thighs, Buffy was pleased to see Angel had opted not to wear underwear as well when his erection popped out.

Teasingly, Buffy gave the head a kiss then continued to pull his pants off. When they were finally pooled around his ankles, Buffy stood back up and playfully pushed him back until he was sitting on the side of the bed. He grinned at her as she kicked off her shoes and quickly straddled him. She rubbed her moist center over his hardness; he gasped, realizing she wasn't wearing any panties. The two of them pulled her dress over her head and threw it to the floor as well.

Buffy pushed him back again so that he was lying down. Buffy peppered small kisses over his face as he guided himself to the entrance of her moist center. Slowly, he slid a bit inside her. Buffy moaned and pushed back, taking his entire length inside her weeping channel. They both moaned in unison. Buffy

began to slowly rock back and forth on him; Angel moved his hands to fill them with her breasts, his thumbs teasing her already hard nipples.

Their lovemaking was slow and languorous, neither wanting to end this feeling of completeness. Angel pulled her upper body down so that he could taste her mouth once again, his tongue stroking hers. Buffy started to spasm around him, the pleasure overtaking her. She whimpered as orgasm wracked her body.

When she had recovered somewhat, Angel sat up, still moving inside her. He pulled her legs around his waist and turned over so that she lay on her back. He looked down at her and smiled. Her hair had come loose from it restraints and was now splayed about her face, almost like a golden halo. Her eyes were dark with passion and her lips were swollen from their kisses. Her whole body had a sheen of sweat and a certain glow to it.

He bent his head and kisses her deeply, putting his all into it. He started to thrust his hips harder, his pelvic bone crushing against hers. Buffy moved her hands over his back, lightly scratching the skin. Their pace moved from leisurely to rapidly, Buffy pushing her hips up to meet Angel's every thrust. Soon, she felt herself slipping over the edge of ecstasy, her strong muscles squeezing him, luring him with her. With a shout he exploded deep inside her. Slowly he stopped moving and lay on top of her on the bed. Catching his breath, he rolled over, pulling her with him.

Buffy lay on his chest with Angel running his fingers softly in circles on her back.

"I love you." He told her softly.

"I love you." She replied, kissing his chest softly.

"Tomorrow, I am going to the florist, and I will order the flowers for you." He told her.

She looked up at him and smiled. "Thank you. It means so much."

"I'm half of the wedding too. I need to do half the work. Do you want me to try to make an appointment with a caterer sometime this week?"

Buffy grinned and kissed him on the mouth. He was so perfect!

As Buffy lay in her own bed at home a few hours later, she smiled. That night had definitely been one of her best nights with Angel. She closed her eyes and tried to sleep, but instead she got one of her feelings. It was like when she knew something evil was coming…. but different… like this time is wasn't evil, but she wasn't sure it was good. Buffy shrugged, it was probably just relief now that Angel was helping with the wedding. If she wigged about every time she had one of 'those feelings' she'd be a wreck.
